Embedded, C, C++, Linux, IP, TCP/IPUp to £60 000- Oxford- Senior Embedded Software Engineer
My client design and manufacture video systems and require a Senior Software Engineer to work on a new line of networked video recorder/streaming products.
The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of internet and networking protocols, and ideally will have current experience with software implementations for video & video streaming products.
The role will be to implement and maintain streaming, security, networking, VPN , Onvif and other protocols under Linux for our new product line.
Essential skills:
* Embedded C, C++
Linux
*Implementation of IP and Networking protocols, particularly Real-time Video streaming protocols (eg RTP, RTSP, UDP etc as well as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS)
* Embedded network servers
In addition we require some professional experience of development of web GUIs, including the following:
* Java Script / JSON
* Browser technology
* Browser plugins
Further relevant skills:
* Onvif protocols
* VLC, Live555
* Network Security
* VPN
* Android/IOS applications
* QT
* GIT
