Description
The successful candidate will ensure Maintenance of the Programme plan in Microsoft Project. Assist projects in development and maintenance of project plans and ensure maintenance of documentation configuration control. You will also carry out preparation of programme documents.
You should have minimum experience in:
- Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner
- PRINCE2 Practitioner
- Microsoft Project Advanced User
- You must be SC cleared to apply for this role
You will not normally be required to drive a MoD vehicle but may be required to travel as a passenger in a MoD vehicle. When travelling to other locations (a rare occurrence) there is the scope for the individual to use their own vehicle or public transport and claim expenses (see above). A driving license would be useful but not essential.
You will be responsible for the following:
1. Maintaining the LCD Programme Plan, liaising with all Programme entities as necessary to ensure all relevant elements are correctly scheduled. Supporting project leads in their generation of detailed (Level 1) plans and informing senior management as soon as practicable of any potential slippage or scheduling conflicts that adversely affect the realisation of Programme milestones and/or benefits.
2. Provide support to Project Teams in relation to project scheduling, and assist in identification of inter-project dependencies affecting the Programme Plan Schedule.
3. Oversee and maintain the filing of Programme and Project documentation intended for internal (MOSS) and external (eTLMP) audiences.
4. Oversee and maintain Configuration Control Management, ensuring Programme and Project documentation are produced in accordance with Programme Office Guidance.
5. Support the ProgM and ProgO in preparing internal MoD and external papers, reports and returns.
6. In support of the LCDP communication strategy ensure that the Programme Plan is effectively communicated across associated stakeholders including:
the Individual Training Sponsor (ITS);
the Joint User/Programme Director (22 (Trg) Gp);
the Defence College of Technical Training; and the Single Service Programme Focal Points.
7. Miscellaneous Staff Duties and local engagement commensurate with rank/experience, as directed by ProgM/ProgO.
8. Deputise for LCD Programme Officer as required.
