ROLE OVERVIEW:Storage Network Engineer - 6 Months - Lincoln
DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:
Administration of NAS / SAN / Storage hardware (EVA, SUN-Storagetek and EMC arrays).
Day-to-day management of the storage environment including Patching, config/managment, Monitoring and
documentation.
Level 2/3 operational support and troubleshooting of the Storage & Backup infrastructure.
ESSENTIALS SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in a similar Storage admin role.
Experience of Wintel environment's.
Switch Fabrics experience; Brocade.
Working knowledge and experience of Storage arrays; EMC, Sun Storagetek or HP EVA.
Enterprise Class Backup experience such as EMC Networker.
Working knowledge and experience of Tape Library's such as SL500, I500 & MSL.
Strong analytical & problem solving.
Capacity management.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Exposure to Linux and Unix.
Exposure to Virtualisation.
Controlled Data Centre working environment experience.
Replication and Disaster/recovery concepts.
Producing technical documentation.
