My client, a large well known FMCG organisation is seeking a highly competent and driven ACA qualified Finance Business Partner/Controller to provide vital support to the Site Leadership, in particular the Factory General Manager, and enabling the day to day performance within the organisations' highest volume site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the financial accounting and control requirements of a manufacturing site are met on an accurate and timely basis. The role includes significant business partner interaction and involves developing Cost Centre Managers' financial awareness, managing the site capital investment process, and facilitating the management team in controlling and forecasting the cost base.
As Site Financial Controller you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that decisions, plans and strategies are formulated on a sound commercial and financial basis.
- Reviewing and reporting performance against agreed budgets and forecasts and driving the formulation of the necessary action plans to meet those objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and group accounting procedures, highlighting areas of concern as appropriate and taking corrective action.
- Financial control of the site investment program and financial leadership of the site and being an active part of the Site Leadership team as well as managing and developing them.
- Coaching the Site operational team on financial matters and supporting the other site finance roles as and when required.
The successful candidate will have several years PQE experience in CIMA, ACA or ACCA and possess excellent Excel and SAP skills. You will have experience of making complex financial analysis easily understood in within a FMCG/manufacturing background as well as costing experience in this industry. You will have a track record of providing robust and insightful financial analysis, planning and forecasting, drawing from a range of Financial Analysis/modelling/investment appraisal techniques and be able to demonstrate a proven communication and leadership ability, with the gravitas to build solid, successful working relationships cross functionally with the desire to challenge the norm.
