Role: Oracle Software developer
Location: Cork
Duration: 6 Months + Ext
Rate: €350 - €400 per day
A market leading IT company based in Cork are seeking a talented Oracle software developer for a 6 month contract with further extensions likely. They require a developer to join a close knit IT team to take ownership of the Oracle forms and reporting.
The Company:
Irish owned company specialising in providing IT services.
The Role:
The role is for an Oracle software developer position. In this the person will work with the team to develop structured and tested code, The position is based in primarily in Cork, Ireland with some travel where necessary to Customer sites.
Skills/Experience:
- 3 experience in Oracle Forms and Reports development essential
- Java development and/or knowledge of Business Intelligence/Analytics tools desirable
- TOAD (Tool for Oracle Analysts and Developers) and/or working with web services would be beneficial.
- PL/SQL
Day to day:
Developing structured and tested code using Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, SQL and PL/SQL. You will be participating in the delivery of significant enhancements for a key in-house business application. Troubleshooting, identifying and fixing bugs in this in-house business application using the Oracle tool set. You will be developing enhancements for business applications using the Oracle tool set
Type of person:
This role will suit a person that's has the ability to work independently and as part of project teams. You will also be organised and results driven and possess excellent communication skills and fluent written and spoken English.
