My client, a market leading retail bank is looking for a head of enterprise architecture to join their growing business on an interim basis. You will be responsible for translating the client's group-wide target business architecture into an enterprise systems architecture. Map the systems capabilities required to achieve the target architecture and identify capability gaps and risks. Ensure the systems architecture considers the timing, sequencing and dependencies of capability development across the group. Lead enterprise systems architectural activities, providing leadership to enterprise, data and infrastructure architects.The role:
Responsibilities:
* Develops target enterprise systems architecture that is reflective of the business architecture and demonstrates link between the systems architecture and the business architecture.
* Validates the content and balance of strategic imperatives with the IT Strategy and Architecture Director and the broader IT Leadership Team as a means of further informing strategic intent and systems capability development.
* Ensures that the business is aware of the likely risks (cost, time, ability, etc.) of adopting alternative models, so that by understanding the degree of fit with strategy, an informed selection of a target architecture is made.
* Works with business architecture, Digital and IT Directors, subject matter experts, enterprise & infrastructure & data architecture, and strategic IT partners to develop options for the overarching systems architecture, taking into consideration the strategic IT roadmap, existing systems capabilities, IT Operations and partner roadmaps that are consistent across all parties.
Key Skills/Qualifications:
* Proven and credible track record in delivering Enterprise Architecture
* Extensive experience in architecting complex development and integration projects
* Ability to understand strategic issues, analyse and resolve difficult problems
* Experience of working with senior stakeholders articulating impact of change on their business models
* Ability to negotiate and influence at a senior level within an organisation
* Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities
* Degree level qualification or equivalent.
* TOGAF or other Enterprise Architecture accreditation desirable
Rate: £1100 per day
