Description
Our key rail client require a Financial Reporting Analyst with experience in the rail or construction industry to join their team in London Bridge on a contract basis (6 months initially).
Key Accountabilities
- Review, analyse and challenge the business plan submissions for compliance with targets.
- Lead the development of consistent models and financial analysis of all activities, including the setting of benchmarking and best practice, internal and external, for all activities.
- Provide the appropriate management information and support to budget holders for control of expenditure and business case development.
- Derive from analysis and discussions, opportunities for improvement. Propose actions to budget holders.
- Monitor and report on progress in the implementation of efficiencies identified in the business plan.
- Manage the production of reporting packs for management reviews.
- Creating a Financial model to manage the long term financial performance.
- Providing insight into business performance across safety, asset, people, customers etc.
- Supporting consolidation and streamlining of reporting.
- Setting up KPI's and reporting framework for the route to manage its business.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in project accounting for large construction or rail organisations
- Membership of relevant professional body
- 2 years' post qualification experience
- The ideal candidate will have relevant experience within the Rail industry.
