Sr Technical SharePoint Administration Operations Lead will be responsible for planning and execution of tasks related to the new SharePoint based initiatives (migrations, Third-Party Solutions, Integration with additional Enterprise Systems). In addition this role will be responsible for configuring and supporting the day-to-day operational tasks such as trouble-shooting, support tickets, service requests, backup management and performance tuning.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with networking, storage, virtualization and other infrastructure teams to setup and maintain business critical SharePoint farms.
  • Maintains system stability, performance monitoring, security, and storage capacity requirements.
  • Installation and maintenance of Plug-ins, Feature, Web parts, Templates and custom software.
  • Work with developers to deploy custom applications and solutions to production and pre-production environments.
  • Communicate effectively with both business unit colleagues, clients, and technology team members.
  • Support of SharePoint environment planning, deployment, and operational support.
  • Provides 24x7 on-call support for SharePoint in rotation with other team members.
  • Provide third level user assistance.
  • Identify hardware and software platform issues and work with System Admins to implement proper patches and updates.
  • Performance tuning and recommend performance improvements.
  • Creating and managing a backup plan for critical SharePoint data.
  • Managing a SharePoint development, QA and Staging server.
  • Assist with Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations planning and testing.
  • Building and managing DR Servers.
  • Guide and help other SharePoint Admin team members as needed.
  • Develop/Maintain IT internal control workflows and systems.
  • Continuously works to enhance Security/Compliance/Audit processes.
  • Participate in SharePoint project initiatives to deploy new functionality and/or enhance existing SharePoint functionality.
  • Some Travel required.
  • Governance - Be able to help establish a framework for Governance in a decentralized SharePoint Infrastructure.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
SKILLS:

Top REQUIRED Skills:
  • SharePoint 2013 Infrastructure experience
  • SQL 2012 Experience
  • SharePoint 2013 Multiple Farm Administration experience
  • Team Lead experience in the past
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years experience managing medium to large Windows/Microsoft SharePoint server farms with high availability and managing SharePoint DR infrastructure.
  • 4-6 years of MS SharePoint administration experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining Project Server 2010.
  • Experience configuring a SharePoint-based Extranet platform.
  • A solid understanding of core Active Directory technology.
  • Experience configuring a SharePoint -based Extranet platform.
  • General MS SharePoint development experience a plus.
  • Experience migrating from SharePoint 2010 to 2013, a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with multiple infrastructure providers, on shore and off shore SharePoint team members. Demonstrated ability to leverage and mentor others through technical team leadership.
  • Ability to work with Business Units in support of technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment with short deadlines, interruptions, and multiple tasks/projects occurring at once.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred.
