Description
The qualified candidate will operate in the biopharmaceutical R&D organization to enable development of biological therapeutics. The candidate may also be responsible for routinely performing, and at times troubleshooting, analytical testing for a diverse range of therapeutic proteins. In addition, the candidate is expected to tabulate/interpret data and prepare reports.
SKILLS:
- The candidate is expected to be proficient in various analytical methodologies including: appearance, concentration by UV spectroscopy, chromatography, electrophoresis techniques (eg CGE, SDS-PAGE, IEF), particle size/count analysis.
- Ability to work with different teams, attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills are essential to efficiently and effectively deliver quality results.
- Ability to work in a lab with analytical instrumentation is desirable
- Experience with testing biological molecules is desirable
- Good understanding and basic knowledge of fundamental formulation development concepts is a plus
- Good understanding and practical skills in modern analytical techniques, especially analytical tools such as SEC, iCE, CGE is a plus
- Evidence of ability to identify and solve problems, making decisions from limited alternatives, can operate with autonomy
- Good communication and writing skills (formatting reports, documents, organizing data)
- Experience with MS Word, PREDICT, Excel and PowerPoint software and other graphing software packages
