Description
Our client is looking for an experience Configuration Manager to join their team for a 6 month contract based in Telford.
The Configuration Management function on the account provides a service to the Account to ensure that changes to the customer's IT services are developed and delivered in a controlled and traceable way.
The Configuration Manager role provides advice and guidance on CM best practice to projects and services across the end-to-end development process from requirements to live run.
- strong build and release experience ideally in a Java environment
- Agile methodologies.
- Experience of using Application Lifecycle Management tooling (eg: JIRA, Confluence)
- Designing and implementing Subversion and GIT environments.
- Experience of coaching a user and support community in these tools is also required
- Engaging with project/service leads to agree appropriate CM processes and tooling.
- Provisioning CM tooling to projects and coaching project members.
- Managing the delivery of software deliverables to all environments in agreed timescales.
- Conducting verification and audit activities to validate deliveries to environments.
- Providing on-going support to the project/service on the CM processes and tools.
