I have an urgent requirement for an experience Software Engineer who can hit the ground running on a project for a key client.
The client provide products into a range of industries and require a Software Engineer to complete the development and testing of a Web based device monitoring and control system.
Please note, there are 2 separate applications, which is why the skill set may be so varied. If not a perfect match but are a quick learner or have used similar project experience please still apply.
Essential
1.Development of Web Based end user applications for control, configuration and monitoring of remotely LAN and WAN based networked embedded devices.
2.Eclipse IDE - PHP 5, JavaScript, JQuery + JQueryUI, AJAX, JSON
3.Visual Studio 2008 IDE - Visual C++, including POCO, Boost libraries
4.Multi-threaded development, experience of TCP/IP based communication applications. Knowledge of HTTP
5.Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL.
6.XML, SQLite embedded database
7.Wix (Windows installer XML) deployment technology
Desirable
1.C#.NET V2 under the Compact Framework
2.Perforce and Bugzilla use
3.Nullsoft NSIS install scripting
4.Cloud Hosting in general and specific familiarity with Microsoft Azure
This is a 6 month contract with an immediate start, as the client is wanting to ensure there can a hand over period.
