Description
My client a large financial services brand is looking for an experienced safety consultant on a interim basis. S/he is responsible for devising and implementing tactical and strategic delivery of safety training plans and programs across the UK Business Operations, working alongside the internal safety team and other key stakeholders.
Key aspects for the contract period:
- Support the Senior Leadership and Senior Country Manager & Executives in ensuring that the UK H&S Policy and Procedures are both Embedded and communicated across the various business functions, LOB, commercial and safety and Risk committees, boards and functions.
- Devise a Comprehensive Corporate H&S Legal & Risk Register commensurate with the UK Business Operations an Models
- Conduct a H&S Training Need analysis for all key stakeholders and employees
- Devise a Corporate Training Matrix/Programme linked to LOB levels, Roles & Responsibilities, type of training required,
- Implement the training programmes and ensure that these are made available on the internal delivery platforms.
- Establish a mechanism for tracking training completion and establish robust escalation processes.
- Explore and advise on-line Health and Safety Management Systems both Internal and externally to host safety data and information.
Attributes:
- Degree qualified in a H&S discipline or equivalent coupled with a NEBOSH certification or above. equivalent
- Very strong safety technical knowledge and skills preferably within a Corporate Financial Services background or equivalent
- Very Sound knowledge of Health & Safety Management system such as OHSAS 18001
- Highly developed communications, presentations, interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Good influencing and persuasive skills.
- Has operated at the Corporate Strategic, Board level to influence key stakeholder and decision makers on H&S matters
- Excellent IT skills, excel, word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
Experiences:
- Demonstrate relevant safety-related experience in multi-national corporate organization over many years
- Proven safety results and contributions to the development of HSMS
