Description
SAP Basis Consultant/SAP Basis Administrator required to join a large scale global SAP rollout to the APAC region, based in Singapore or Hong Kong.

Deliverables;
*Participate/Execute SAP projects including system builds, installations and Basis administrations & support.
*Install, upgrade, and patch SAP products
*Assist in a range of SAP technical support duties including implementing, supporting and monitoring SAP, MS Windows Server, MS SQL Server, network connectivity and backup & recovery strategy
*Develop and maintain policies, standards, and best practices for all infrastructure matters related to SAP Architecture
*Work with other teams to interface with SAP systems to the existing infrastructure and network
*Work closely with the local and Asia Pacific Regional teams to provide Basis support for the region
Experience required;
*SAP Basis Administration skills:
SAP Installations, SAP Upgrades, Advanced research and resolution of issues, Performance Tuning, SAP Integration to other SAP and non-SAP systems, Database monitoring and troubleshooting, Client copies, systems copies, instance refreshes, Backups and restores, Monitoring and Tuning of SAP systems, Patch Administration, Transport Management, Third party product installations, SAP OSS research, Database migrations and reorganizations, MSSQL DBA knowledge included
*Experience in MS Server/SQL Server/Cluster installation, configuration and administration, SAN and DR plan implementation
*Knowledge in Active Directory, networks administration (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, BGP4, VPN, QoS); Cisco Switches (eg 45XX, 65XX); Routers and Firewall devices; network management tools such as HP Openview, Ciscoworks; CCNP/CCNA is an advantage
*Excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, analytical and problem solving skills
*Good command of both written and spoken English. Knowledge of Chinese language is advantageous
*Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to meet project deadlines
*A degree holder, preferably in information technology, computer science or a similar discipline
