Oracle Developer, PL/SQL, 2nd Level support, VB, ASP, SQL.Oracle Developer with VB & ASP skills required for a 4 month contract in central London.
The purpose of this work is to:
Participate in the implementation of the enhancements to support the management of the product data and Investigate production issues and provide 2nd level support.
The current system is VB and ASPs based, connected to an Oracle database and this will be the development environment.
Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL is key since most of the implementation will rely on database procedures.
Profile requirements.
The work required therefore comprises:
1. Understand the processes to be implemented.
2. Design, implementation of applications based on requirements and analysis artefacts supplied by the System Analysts and their improvements as well as new features of future versions of the system.
3. Perform the unit tests.
4. Write the technical documentation.
5. Ensure that all documentation as required by procedures is available and consistent.
6. Keep track of Production issues (defects).
7. Provide 2nd line Support to customers (internal and external) using the internal ticketing tool.
Essential requirements:
8. Be analytically oriented.

10. Be a team player and have experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
11. Have good communicational skills.
12. Have a very good command of written and spoken English.
Experience and knowledge in the following areas would be an additional advantage:
13. A thorough knowledge of another official language of the European Union would be advantages.
