Description
A media company based in Central London is looking for a Coldfusion Developer on a 6-month contract.Joining a small in-house team the Coldfusion Developer will support continued development of this clients online B2B publishing and market intelligence services.
This client is currently in the process of adding a bootstrap framework to legacy ColdFusion code and moving to far greater focus on front end development.
Initially the role is ColdFusion based with likelihood to a move to Java or alternative technology in future. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your skill-set.
Additional priority areas for the business are in use of tools for supporting community, data analysis and visualisation. Your initial primary responsibility will be for the maintenance and ongoing development of our online Business Intelligence application including:
- Client data migrations into the system
- Creation of on-going dashboard widgets
- Improved reporting and analysis
Other duties will include
- Develop a variety of responsive web applications and sites, which interface with our content management and integrate with back office systems.
- Participate in the architecture, design and development of core components, new features and enhancements for existing and new business applications.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and multi-tasking abilities with the ability to propose new solutions learn and apply these solutions quickly.
- Object orientated thought processes and excellence in programmatic techniques will be a real advantage.
Required experience:
- 3 years + experience of ColdFusion
- Be able to respond to non-technical briefs with clarity and insight
- Good communication skills
- Show excellence in problem solving
- Hit the ground running
- Produce development timelines for projects and plan development sprints
- Experience with full lifecycle ColdFusion technologies an advantage... including:
- Railo/Tomcat Server
- MySQL
- Coldbox MVC frameworks
- ORM/OOP
- Javascript jQuery and KendoUI JS libraries
- CSS, Bootstrap
- Testing
- Agile thought processes
Day Rate: £320 - £400 per day
