The Company
Our client partners with many of Australia's financial services organizations and are currently working with one of the premier firms, a company that has expanded its operations beyond the Australian shores. This organization has a large range of financial offerings to both public and private clients across the retail, corporate and institutional banking areas. They have a very large technical footprint that combines a dynamic range of technologies in an ultimately complex landscape. Due to an expanding program of work they require an intermediate to senior level test analyst with experience testing EFTPOS/Point Of Sale systems.
The Team
You'll be a part of a project team focused on developing, testing and implementing payments/transactional systems and platforms in a large, complex financial systems environment. More specifically you'll be working in a sub team dedicated to working with EFTPOS/Point Of Sale systems and part of a large integration/implementation piece.
The Role
As a Test Analyst within this team you'll engage in complete end to end testing of EFTPOS/Point Of Sale systems along with connected peripheral systems. You'll employ the full gambit of testing methods including but not limited to: ST, SIT, Regression and Performance testing. There's an array of open source and vender test management tools at your disposal (eg QC - Quality Centre or Rational tool suites) and you'll need to have solid SQL Scripting skills along with experience testing in multi-platform environments (Windows Server, UNIX/Linux etc ). In addition to the technical requirements an understanding of the informational (transactional data) flows, application and systems architecture and how it applies to the business is fundamental to the role.
Skills required:
- 3 - 5+ years' experience testing EFTPOS/Point Of Sale systems (essential).
- Experience with: ST, SIT, Regression and performance testing.
- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights and be based here (essential).
- Experience with Proprietary or Vendor Automation Platforms (eg QTP - QuickTest Professional).
- Multi-platform environment experience (Windows, Linux) and SQL skills.
- Proficient with SQL Scripting and Test Management tools (eg QC).
- Strong understanding of both the SDLC and Project life cycle.
- IT Degree/Diploma or Industry relevant certifications (eg ISTQB).
- Familiarity with card payment standards (eg EMV, ISO8583, AS2805).
