Role: Operations DBA
Location: D1, Dublin
Duration: 6 Months + Ext
A market leading Insurance company based in Dublin city centre are seeking a talented operations DBA for a 6 contract with further extensions likely. They require a database administrator to support development activities and support production application release.
The Company:
Multinational company specialising in providing Insurance solutions.
Day to day:
Performing database setup, preparing scripts for managing principals and securables, reviewing database release scripts. You will also be developing PL/SQL for new backend projects and existing backend systems including database maintenance scripts, preparation and tuning of database release scripts
Skills/Experience:
Experience working with:
* PL/SQL
* SQL server , Oracle 11g
* Experience in Oracle materialised views and database jobs.
* Experience in DB optimisation skills
* Experience in SSIs packages & SQL server jobs
* Performance tuning of various database parameters including database queries
* Experience in SSMS & Integration services
* SQL Server clustering, Mirroring & Log shipping

Type of person:
This role will suit a technical person who can also communicate well, they should have high attention to detail. Experience of self-starting and the ability work independently and think creatively.
