Our client in Wilmington, DE has an immediate need for a Senior Function Project Manager for a 9+ month contract in the financial services industry.
Position Description:
The role of the Project Manager is to successfully represent the Department on bank-wide initiatives and/or individually manage and implement project for sponsoring business areas. Projects primarily include: partner launches, medium/large scoping initiatives, bank-wide and departmental infrastructure projects, portfolio conversions and acquisitions. On average, PMs manage one or more large initiatives with multiple feature group implementations.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years' experience in Project Management
- Strong understanding of SDLC
- Strong verbal/written communication skills, including proven persuasion, negotiation, and presentation
- Proven interpersonal/Leadership skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Results driven; committed to quality and continuous process improvement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including MS Project (or a similar tool)
- Experience managing large, enterprise wide projects in the financial industry
- PMI or Six Sigma project management style
