Description
Due to the continuous growth across the organisation we are now looking to recruit an Engineering Manager / Director to be based permanently from Coventry, with regular travel between UK sites.Job Specification:
- To ensure that the engineering and maintenance function at the key manufacturing sites are able to ensure the machinery operates to optimum efficiency in terms of up-time, technical quality and performance.
- To develop and implement standard preventative maintenance systems for each of our machine types.
- To develop and implement project installations and modifications / improvements into the respective sites.
- Ensure the implementation of a cost effective, planned, preventative maintenance system at all sites.
- Develop a team of highly trained maintenance engineers to ensure an efficient service at each site with suitable contractor support.
- Assist with major breakdowns and equipment malfunctions to ensure repairs are made in a timely and professional manner, ensuring the implementation of counter measures to prevent future repeats.
- Recommend Plant and equipment specifications to meet the goals of the businesses and meet the HSE rules/ intentions of the group.
- Develop central engineering strategy for recruitment, resources and training in order to deliver group goals
- Recommend and develop improvements to process, service regimes and spares stock holding
- Divisional role across the UK. Involving 7 manufacturing sites on a regular basis and up to 14 distribution sites when the need arises
- Create a mindset change within the business that will value good engineering practices, move the business from fix and repair mode into maintain mode.
EDUCATION:
Education: Degree Level Engineering
Experience: Maintenance Management, WCM involvement
Competencies: Ability to lead and teach others, influence and persuading.
