My client, a prestigious financial company based in Cambridge, is looking for several Service Desk Analysts to join their team.

Experience with a financial organisation is an advantage (but not essential).

Role: Service Desk Analyst
Rate: £175 per day
Location: Cambridge
Duration: 6 months (with chances to extend further)

Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a single point of contact for phone calls, emails, etc. from colleagues regarding IT issues and queries, logging and managing tickets until fully resolved
* Escalate Major Incidents as defined within the Major Incident Process
* First line support of IT related problems from in-house software to hardware, such as AD, Microsoft Office applications, Windows 7, BlackBerry's, Citrix, Laptops, PCs and Printers, GOOD and BYOD
* Escalate unresolved tickets to the appropriate support team(s)
* Log and manage all calls in the Service Desk ticket logging system (Remedy)
* Take ownership of user issues and follow up the status of these issues on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner
* To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles
* Provide feedback for the weekly Service Desk report on call trends
* Update Knowledge documents where applicable
