Senior Manager - Bristol - Insurance Finance

My client, a major British financial institution, are looking for a Senior Manager to lead a small technical accounting group within the Reporting Developments team in Insurance Finance, initiall on a 3 month contract.

Overview

To Lead a small group of finance professionals providing technical input to the Insurance statutory accounts and PRA returns as well as advice to the Insurance business on technical accounting and regulatory issues and developments.
Applicant must be a qualified accountant with significant technical expertise with an insurance industry background. Strong technical background and insurance experience ( Solvency II, IFRS, PRU, ICA +)

Description

This role will give exposure to a number of different areas and stakeholders and provides a good grounding in understanding the insurance business and how it operates.

The key requirements:
* Qualified accountant
* Insurance accounting and prudential regulatory experience essential, including IFRS technical accounting experience
* Demonstrated planning, organisational and prioritisation skills
* Excellent communication ability including demonstrated ability to analyse complex information and transactions and provide understandable, plain English summaries and recommendations
