Enclipse Corporation has an opportunity for an experienced Windows 2012 Server Consultant for a 1 year project with a large state agency in California.
This is a contract opportunity for a solid technical and business consultant to evaluate, implement, test, adapt, and support Windows 2012 Servers and infrastructure operations for our customer.

SCOPE OF PROJECT:

Provide consultation to staff in evaluating, testing, adopting, implementing and supporting the appropriate edition of Windows 2012 Server (ie, Foundation, Essential, Standard and Datacenter), to standardize and effectively host virtual and physical Servers to meet business and technical requirements;

Provide expertise in Windows 2012 Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services, DNS, and DHCP with redundancy, IP Address management with redundancy, and Active Directory Rights Management;

Design, build, configure, test and implement Windows 2012 Active Directory Federation Services, DHCP, DNS and IP Address Management services for high availability and resiliency;

Provide consultation to staff in establishing and adopting standard configurations for Windows 2012 Server on VMWare virtual and physical Servers;

Build and configure Windows 2012 Servers on VMWare hypervisors and/or physical hardware;

Design and implement a standard Failover Cluster to host SQL AlwaysOn clustering capability;

Provide technical support in planning, testing and implementing changes to Servers in non-production and production environments;

Assess and recommend improvements to current processes and procedures;

Utilize documented materials (eg, processes, procedures, specifications, etc.) to provide technical knowledge transfer to staff.

Educate application owners on 2012 server functionality/features to make the migration to 2012 server desirable.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
-
5 years of comprehensive and practical experience in Windows Server administration;
-
Comprehensive experience designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments with Windows Active Directory, Windows clustering, DNS and DHCP;

Networking protocols including TCP/IP Addressing, subnets, VLANs, routing, TCP and UDP, and Firewall rules;

Proven experience working on projects through the entire project life cycle, while maintaining high customer satisfaction

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Windows 2012

Automation Scripting (PowerShell)

Server Virtualization using VMware vSphere version 5.1

Experience with MS SCCM/SCOM

Principles of ITIL

Experience with F5 load balancers

Understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Experience with projects requiring security framework compliance, eg, ISO 27002, NIST 800-53, etc.
