Quantity Surveyor
This leading mobile telecommunications company has a current vacancy for a Quantity Surveyor to join their property team on a contract basis.
The focus of the role is to manage the site construction costs for large telecommunications projects. You will be responsible for assessing and evaluating the costs provided by partners and you will be required to add value engineering to solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills or quantities with the client.
- Undertaking costs analysis for project work
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
- Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
- Approval of partner costs
- Valuing completed work and approval of payments
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
key skills required:
- RICS or CIOB accreditation or equivalent
- Proven, extensive background within construction
- Good knowledge of construction within the telecommunications industry
- Experience and knowledge of network deployment and delivery projects
- Experience of working with blue chip clients
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Experience of managing sub contractors.
- Knowledge and understanding of Line Items.
