A leading Satellite Ground Equipment manufacturer within the Space industry who designs, develops, integrates and tests telecom and security projects like Galileo are seeking a Project Manager who is experienced within Space Flight mainly through Earth Observation or Navigational Satellites.
The company are going through a period of change converting the organisation from Space Ground applications completely to Space Flight Equipment. They are seeking an individual preferably with an Electronics background especially within Space Equipment.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management and the realisation of (once-only) projects whereby with a temporary team (if necessary made up of persons of different departments and professional disciplines) a concrete target is strived after within an agreed budget, time frame, quality and content.
Activities:
-Project definition
-Management and organisation of the project start-up: preparation and making of the necessary project plans, planning, communication, kick-off meetings
-Information gathering & distribution
-Definition of the quality norms and control of these norms
-Negotiate and assemble resources
-Budgeting
-Project planning (overall)
-Definition of the possible impact of proposed implementations and/or project changes
-Organisation of and participation in reviews and project meetings
-Decision making in consultation with the team
-Progress tracking: evaluation of the 'earned value'
-Motivate
-Report/escalation process
-Management of project risks
-External representation of the project, within as well as outside Alcatel
-Coordination and daily management of his project team's tasks: detail planning, follow-up, implementation, documentation

-Preferable Dutch speaking, but at least English speaking
