Our client, a global leading electronic manufacturing organisation, is looking for a Firmware (IP) Development Project Manager to work on a long term contract basis within their R&D Centres. They are looking for a suitable candidate to join ASAP, with the position be based in the Netherlands and Belgium. This Project Manager will be working in the Mobile department and take the responsibility for all project management tasks within the Firmware development team.Job Responsibilities:
As a Firmware (IP) Development Project Manager you will be:
• Leading a multi-site, multi-disciplinary team of experts. The team members will be located mainly in Belgium, but also in Romania. IN addition you will have strong links to the Netherlands team (SW development and headquarters).
• Executing multiple projects in parallel. Main focus of these projects is on Firmware IP development, together with research and business line resources. You will increase the maturity from initial Firmware concepts to validated and released Firmware IP blocks, ready for integration in overall product development. You will execute according to Firmware development strategy, as defined by resource/development manager, setting up structured way-of-working for the Firmware IP developments.
• Supporting Firmware IP integration, in overall development project in the role as sub-project manager, reporting to the overall project manager for end-product development.
Skills Requirements:
• MUST have Project management experience in semiconductor industry within the area of embedded firmware / software development.
• Experience with embedded firmware/software development for DSP/microcontrollers
• Capable of understanding overall system interaction, including software, firmware and hardware
• Experience in leading multi-site, multi-disciplinary teams
• Willing to travel between Belgium and the Netherlands
• Excellent English language skills
