Leading Global Solutions Provider has an immediate long term contract requirement for a Senior Virtualisation Specialist with strong VDI skills in Dublin
You will be experienced in implementing VMWare VDI solution for large customers in addition to the design, configuration and support of VMWare VDI Technologies. This role will entail management of VM environment for Desktops, troubleshooting issues related to virtual desktops and will require in depth knowledge of VDI technologies
Requirements for role
- Senior Vmware VDI engineer, 3/4 years of support and deployment experience in following;
- Maintaining Virtual Desktop Environments through VMware View & Horizon View
- VMware Infrastructure Servers both Legacy and current
- Pureflex Technology and or x-series Blade Chassis Mgmt
- Virtual and Physical Networking, VLAN Mgmt etc
- Virtual Image management - Pool Recomposition
- DR and HA/DRS
- Storage LUN Mapping & Configuration & Disk I/O monitoring
- SLA Reporting
- Windows XP/7 Image Management and migration
- AV Mgmt in a virtual environment
- ESXi 4+ management
- Vsphere 4+ management
- MS Active Directory experience, strong knowledge, AD/DNS/DHCP/File and Print/Group policy and security.
- Experience in large scale XP and Windows 7 Desktop deployments and build environments
- MS SCCM Experience
- Windows Scripting Experience
- Very strong communication skills, verbally and written.
- Experience working directly with customers
- Experience working in large Matrix organisations
- Flexibility in terms of work location
- Flexibility on working hours due to Project demands.
