Senior Data Analyst

I am currently working with a financial services client who have a requirement for a Senior Data Analyst. The role is in London, please see the details below-
Location: London
Duration: 6 months +
Rate: £ 650 p/d
Start Date: October

Skills:

• Technical skills;

More than 7 years of hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, C#, Java, Business Objects, SAS, SSRS, SSIS, MDM, ETL and BI fundamentals on at least 3 significant change projects

Experience of creating complex queries and views using advanced SQLs and joins

Solid data analysis and report production experience

Strong experience working in high volume and very complex data rich environment

Advanced MS Excel working knowledge. Exposure to Pivot tables and Power Pivot would be advantageous

• Communication skills: able to explain data and Treasury concepts to a wide or specialist audience and home in on the significant issues at hand. Ability to facilitate sessions comprising participants with a variety of skills and viewpoints.
• Credibility: able to successfully interact with project sponsors, senior stakeholders at a functional level and IT leads.
• Project delivery skills; planning, risk and issue management, controls, tracking, reporting

Data

• Understanding of data quality issues in universal banks, data reconciliation, data- lineage and data remediation.
• Data mapping and modelling. Reference data, balance sheet, counterparty and product data.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of ALM, Liquidity, Capital Planning, RWA reporting, regulatory reporting initiatives
• Practical, self-starting individual who lead teams and influence people. Energetic and motivated to succeed
