Description
Our client, a large asset/investment management firm is looking to recruit and experienced candidate to join a transaction risk team. The team ultimately aim to provide all individuals involved in the day to day management of transactional risk with a clear framework to operate within and the tools with which to provide senior management with the evidence that our staff are competent and that our controls are operating effectively.
Equities Front Office Operations would like to recruit an individual for a 9 month period to undertake a dual role as follows:
- The first element would be to implement the new processes for the management of risk and the evidencing of controls, including extending our implementation of JIRA.
- This would additional include building out the quarterly risk appetite reporting.
- The second element of the review would be to assist management in undertaking current procedural reviews, updating procedures as well as assisting in the completion of actions relating to errors, incidents, near misses, audits and thematic reviews.
- We may also ask the individual to assist us in preparing training material to flow into our T&C process.
Role Requirement
The opportunity would lend itself to the following type of individual:
- Background in or involvement in operational risk, preferably in a medium/large scale asset manager
- Experience of undertaking process reviews.
- Strong communication skills, particularly written
- Some change management discipline, particularly in relation to planning.
- An inquisitive individual with strong interpersonal skills and comfort challenging and presenting at business unit board level.
