Role: Project Manager/Engineering Manager

Location: Yeovil

Contract: 4 months

Daily rate: £350 to £400

Security Clearance: SC Clearance Essential

We are looking for an experienced project manager with a strong background in engineering and logistics management to place into a role within a central government organisation.

Essential Experience:

Previous experience of Rotary Wing Engineering or Logistics Management.

HNC or higher desirable

Membership of a relevant Engineering Body highly desirable

Having some experience in disposable management.

Key tasks and deliverables

Produce and Manage the Disposal Plan for Lynx Mk 7 ensuring that the OSD can be met.

Produce the Disposal Plan for Lynx Mk 8 and 9a and set the conditions to meet the OSDs. The successful candidate will work within the Lynx Wildcat Engineering Design Authority (EDA). Availability and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO)

Team which sustains safety enabling and business-critical outputs with the following broad dependencies:

Availability, Airworthiness and Future Planning, for all Marks of Lynx and Wildcat aircraft within the UK Military Air Environment (MAE). This supports Land and Maritime operations around the globe, plus multiple Land, Maritime and special user contingent operations at Immediate to Very High Readiness.

Position holder will be the Lynx-Wildcat EDA Availability CAMO Disposals Manager and will:

Be responsible for the planning and management of disposal support activity for the Lynx Mk 7, 8, 9a by their relevant Out of Service Date (OSD), including disposal of the Aircraft and non donor components, Ground Support Equipment, Special Tools and Test Equipment, General Tooling, Spares, Role equipment and Publications. This is business critical role and will directly support the Lynx Mk 7 OSD of 31 Mar 15 and will set the future conditions for the disposal of Mk 8 and 9a Lynx Aircraft.

Satisfy key strategic initiatives to identify and manage safety, business and activity changes towards impending OSDs in order to ensure Airworthiness and Fleet requirements are successfully managed.

Support the Lynx Wildcat EDA Engineering Manager and Engineering Planner in the conduct of Fleet Availability and future Fleet Planning activities.
