Description
Infrastructure/Systems Engineer - VMware, VSphere, Citrix Xen, Cloudstack, Cloud Portal, Windows is required by my client who is based in London.
Essential Expertise:
- VMWare VCP (vSphere3/4/5)
- Citrix Xen, Cloudstack, Cloud Portal
- Windows MCP/MCITP
Desirable Expertise:
- Red Hat RHCT or equivalent
- Networking Certifications
- Storage Certifications (Cisco, SNIA)
- Working knowledge of managing and monitoring HP Proliant, Cisco UCS, IBM X, Dell Servers.
- Knowledge of Backup/Recovery Process & Tools
- ITIL
Responsibilities:
This is a 3rd level support role with responsibility supporting High Availability Server environments on behalf of my clients customers. Activities covered by the role include Design, Implementation, Configuration, Support and Administration of my clients customers Physical and Virtual environments. The Managed Servers and Storage team are responsible for the pro-active Management of my clients Enterprise and Private Cloud Services, provisioning of VDC's (Virtual Data Centres), incident management and responding to customer requests for change to their VDC's.
The Systems Engineer's work closely with the Solutions Architects, Pre-Sales, Professional Services Group, Project Management and Product Teams to ensure design and delivery of highly available solutions.
Engineers are required to monitor and evolve all standards, policies and procedures utilised within the Management of Production environments.
