ROLE: Embedded Software Engineer

LOCATION: North West England

RATE: £30-42 per hour

LENGTH: 12 Months

I have a long term contract opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer with strong Embedded C/C++ experience programming on Real Time Operating Systems.

The client is a world leader in their field and develops industry leading scientific equipment. With a brand new Engineering Facility they offer a modern and friendly environment to work in.

The client is looking to refresh their Embedded PC's on a range of existing products, implementing the newest version of VxWorks on them, therefore experience with VxWorks would be a highly desirable.

You will be required to do low level programming at Kernel and Bootloader level, again experience doing this on VxWorks would be advantageous.

Key Skills:

- Embedded Software Development

- Embedded C/C++

- Embedded PC's

- RTOS (ideally VxWorks)

- Low level Programming (kernel)

The role will mainly use Embedded C++, however if you have strong Embedded C and some C++ experience then please apply.

Should you possess any application development experience with C++ and C# this would also be advantage, but not essential, as these would be useful for other projects in the longer term.

Interviews will be taking place in the afternoon of week commencing 22nd September. These will be a 1 stage face to face.

This is a 12 month contract with a flexible start date. If interested and would like to be considered for this role please submit your CV or contact Ryan Collett of Real Engineering.
