Salary - £50-£60k plus benefits

Location - Hertfordshire

The Role - Network Engineer

A member of a small team, the Network Engineer will be responsible for providing network device installation, support, monitoring, maintenance and documentation. Lead and/or participate in various network projects.

Responsibilities - Network Engineer

The successful candidate will maintain the LAN/WAN network connectivity configure and install routers, switches and security firewalls. Own the diagnostics and fault resolution of network devices & related systems, drive fault isolation and troubleshooting on the network supported systems. Develop network hardware / software configuration standards, monitor and report on network capacity and forecast requirements.

Knowledge - Network Engineer

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting a large network environment and a demonstrable understanding of operational / design networking principles to include; switching, routing, telephony and security.
  • Will have extensive experience of working with network infrastructures including LAN/WAN
  • Experience of telephony (Fixed and Mobile)
  • Experience with a broad range of network technologies & routing protocols.
  • Experience in an Enterprise Networks environment including Configuration, Troubleshooting and Design
  • Provide support for the LAN and WAN infrastructure including trouble shooting and rectification of networking problems.
  • Provide support for the phone system including user's handsets and mobile devices.
  • Monitoring network health, performance, utilisation and capacity, identify issues and resolve in a timely manner.
  • To be involved in the planning and implementation of new projects.
  • Remote user support.
