The Product Development team ensures that Google has the best worldwide product offerings by analysing, positioning, packaging, and promoting our solutions across a variety of countries and markets where Google does business. The team is responsible for the product throughout the execution cycle, and works closely with the engineering group to continuously improve systems, processes, and production. 

The Google Geoconsumer Community Management team is looking for a Community Manager for City Experts to work alongside the current Community Management team in London. 

The Community Manager for City Experts will manage local communities to engage users on Google. They will be responsible for outreach, user education, social media strategy and execution, content creation, large event planning/logistics and execution, product development, data freshness, quality assurance, analysis and reporting and much more. They will also communicate user suggestions and provide ideas for product improvement, along with expanding our community members base and generating community awareness. 

The individual will be in charge of preparing and executing the local business plan, working independently while communicating frequently with their Regional Community Management Lead and other City Experts Community Team members. They will also liaise regularly with the Product Marketing Manager (PMM), Consumer Operations, Engineering and PR teams. 

Significant community management experience is required as well as the ability to work with cross-functional and remotely-located teams while consistently delivering quality results at a very fast pace. The position requires long, flexible hours, with frequent evening and weekend work. Successful candidates will likely be local experts with a strong personal and professional network and a finger on the pulse of the local scene; they will also be articulate, good writers, flexible, strong leaders, self-starters, patient and able to work exceedingly well under pressure, even while working independently. 

Responsibilities: 

. Work with our Social Media/Reporting Strategist Lead to develop our overall social media and content strategy, launch new social media channels, and execute social media campaigns locally to drive product usage and engagement and grow our user base. 
. Analyze social media and product engagement data and provide the team with weekly reports on social channel and product performance. 
. Create and execute our City Experts Community strategy liaising with their Regional Community Management Lead. 
. Identify and engage end users, power users and local influencers on Google+ Local via community activities, events and sponsorship opportunities. 
. Execute events and sponsorships, both independently and in conjunction with local organizations. Negotiate co-marketing partnership and sponsorship deals with events organizers. 
. Create engaging, locally-relevant, rich content to build community and encourage use of City Experts across a variety of platforms and channels (blog, Google+, Twitter, weekly newsletter, etc.).
