Description
Netsource is looking for an Infrastructure Support Engineer to be based in Stoke for an initial 6 month contract for one of our clients. They will provide support for the development and maintenance of Infrastructure for the Operational Support Systems.
The role will involve developing and maintaining the OSS hardware and operating systems across the total environment pf the OSS landscape, implementing new OSS infrastructure requirements and managing the existing infrastructure. The successful candidate will support the migration of OSS infrastructure requirements through understanding migration drivers and the implications of technology differences and managing these difference.
Essential:
- Understanding of IT infrastructure
- Experience with configuring and supporting operating systems, Hardware and Data Storage
- Network technology knowledge, including TCP/IP, Switches and Routers.
Desirable experience:
- Exposure to various Hardware: Sun, HP, Dell for example
- Various OS technology experience: Unix, Linux, VMWare, Windows Server.
- Configuration and support of various OS
- Exposure to Data Storage Technology
- DHCP, DNS, Active Directory exposure.
