A Renewable Energy client is looking for an Onshore, Offshore Logistic & Installation Engineer to work on their offshore wind farm project. The client is looking for an Offshore Logistic & Installation Engineer who has been heavily involved in logistics planning rather than on site logistics, this will include the selection of key criteria such as ports, vessels, transportation. The client is looking for an individual who can start ASAP on a 12 month initial freelance contract. The individual will be required to travel to the clients UK & European offices.

Job Description:

Offshore Logistics & Installation Engineer to report to the Offshore Logistics & Installation Manager, who reports to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:
To assist with managing the development and finalisation of detailed offshore logistics and installation plans for the project
Developing logistics and installation concepts, together with potential suppliers, Package Managers and internal specialist resources
Determining and evaluating transportation and installation options for the wind turbine (tower, nacelle, rotor) foundations, offshore substations, export and array cables to satisfy the projects technical and schedule requirements
Detailed assessment and evaluation of alternative installation methodologies
Identification and assessment of suitable installation, transportation and support vessels, to satisfy the projects technical and schedule requirements
To work closely with relevant package managers, identifying and solving logistics and installation interfaces
Evaluation of existing ports and sites for pre-assembly, construction, temporary storage and service requirements.
Specification of installation vessel requirements and installation services. Production of associated tender documents, leading the tender process and contract negotiations up to contract award
Co-ordinating and supporting construction activities
Development of technical solutions
Identification and assessment of risks and mitigations for offshore activities

Key Skills/Qualifications:
High Motivation
Previous experience of renewable projects logistics and installation preferable - specific offshore experience and advantage
Technical educational qualifications in related discipline
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Strong project management skills
Excellent IT and presentation skills
Strong Team player
