They have achieved 'Sunday Times Best Company to Work For' status six years in a row! For more information, please visit their website. What is a vehicle sales apprentice?
As a Vehicle Sales Apprentice you'll benefit from extensive training by us and our manufacturer partner Mercedes Benz whilst gaining hands on work experience. In addition you can 'earn while you learn' as you'll be supported in studying for a nationally recognised qualification. Your role will be assisting in selling new and used cars, vans and motorcycles.

What is the work like?
As a vehicle sales advisor you will need to be organised, professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and well presented. This working environment can be quite competitive as there will be other sales advisors within the same company as well as in other dealerships who are after the same business.

Duties may vary but will typically include:

Organising and managing your diary and appointments
Greeting and guiding customers around the showroom
Negotiating sale and trade-in prices
Arranging registration plates, road tax and vehicle delivery
Taking customers through the sales process
Providing information about the products and advising on suitability for the customer's needs
Advising customers on additional products and services
Gathering customer data to enable you to keep them updated of promotions
Maintaining contact with new and existing customers through telephone and email
Assisting with advertising, promotions and website updates
Inspecting vehicle pre and post-sale
Assisting with ensuring that the showroom and products are clean, tidy and well presented at all times.
How will I learn on a vehicle sales apprenticeship?
This Apprenticeship usually takes two years to gain the Full Level 2 Apprenticeship but candidates will progress onto a Level 3 Apprenticeship as part of the role into either Sales, Fleet or another area of the business. To do this you won't need to go to a further education (FE) college or training centre. Your time will be spent in a place of employment where you will get to learn practical skills from seeing the real working environment. You will shadow qualified advisors so that you are able to learn first-hand how to go about your job. You will also get the opportunity to assist in the day to day tasks. Once you pass your assessments and progress through your course you will be able to start completing tasks on your own. To ensure you are competent in completing tasks on your own a Remit assessor will visit you periodically at the work place to complete assessment testing with you.
