Look no further - read the description below and take your career in your own hands.My client, a leading Pharmaceutical company is currently seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager, to work on for them on a 12 month project. They are well-known for their ability in pioneering science. You will be working in an international environment. This is an international, English-speaking environment. You will be accountable for your own actions, but equally be given responsibility. The position is based in Basel.
Tasks
- Develop strategic sourcing plans, incl. Industry analysis, review of current strategy, gap/opportunity analysis to enable alignment and engagement with line function and decision making
- Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to enable the line functions to meet its productivity improvement and savings targets.
- Initiate, negotiate and execute contracts and agreements relevant for the category including commercial terms, intellectual property and confidentiality. Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and procurement standards.
- Create full spend transparency (spend baselines, KPIs and metrics) and establish efficient business processes in line with applicable regulations;
- Manage key supplier relationships through appropriate programs (e.g. alliance/supplier relationship management) to enable innovation and cost containment through mutual accountability and trust.;
- Ensure Category Management and Supplier Management processes are followed as a key business process;
Experience
- Pharmaceutical development understanding and experience for at least 3 to 5 years,
- Business experience including purchasing/sourcing of at least 2 to 4 years.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and deliver results with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with successful presentation capabilities.
- Excellent team work in a multidisciplinary environment with strong customer focus.
- Advanced negotiation and influencing skills.
Education
- University degree in science (Biology / Cell and Gene Therapy preferred)
- MBA or relevant business experience
