Clinical Coding Auditor

Do you want to work for a leading NHS Trust? A Clinical Coding Auditor is needed for a large NHS Trust in Manchester for 6 months with possible extension.
A highly motivated and experienced Clinical Coding Auditor will deliver a comprehensive audit programme to the Trusts Clinical coding team. You will carry of Information Governance audit and ensure annual reports.
You will advise and assist in the implementation of new guidance and ensure polices are adhered to national standards.

As a clinical Coding Auditor you will mentor individuals and ensure coders confident and they are effective in their roles. You will manage the quality of coded data and support the training manager.


For this role you must have Accredited Clinical Coding Auditor Qualification, minimum of 3 years experience of in clinical coding role.
Train, develop, and mentor clinical coding staff.
You will need to have experience in PAS/ Hospital Clinical Systems and development of formal Audit programmes in an Acute Trust.
You will need experience with Information Governance Toolkit standards.
You will need to know National Clinical Coding standards and practices and IDC10,OPCS4 and HRG4.
For this Clinical Coding Auditor role you should have data protection legislation and Caldicott principles.
