This role will provide you with an opportunity to integrate with clients, suppliers, universities, research organisations and across the company at all levels.

A highly motivated, hand on New Product Development Engineer with a positive attitude and an innovative mind to be tasked with the successful deployment of innovative cutting edge polymeric designs for bespoke offshore engineered solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Project managing your own projects
  • Applying design expertise to assigned projects
  • Engineering research and product development
    • Generating new products to suit customer applications
    • Presenting and communicating engineering research and innovation projects
    • Report generation
    • Supporting the New Product Development Manager and Senior New Product Development Engineers.


You will
  • Work a product from concept to production
  • Generating new product concepts with Autodesk Inventor
  • Liaising with material science to verify material suitability
  • Support in the design and development of testing rigs
  • Validating concepts from first principles and FE analysis
  • Working and communicating with customers, suppliers, universities, research organisations and across the company at all levels


Desired Skills:
  • Honours degree in Mechanical or a similar discipline related to offshore Oil & Gas
  • Either hold or be working toward Chartered Engineer status
  • Using Calculation for Stress components
  • Working with 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD), such as Autodesk Inventor
  • Working with and interpreting ANSYS Mechanical
  • Communicating effectively, both internally and externally
