Compliance Administrator/Assistant Manager - Regulatory Compliance - Financial Services

My client, a top tier investment bank, are recruiting for an Assistant Manager/Compliance Administrator to join the Global Regulatory Compliance team, on a 6 month rolling contract, based in London, Canary Wharf.

Rates: £180-£225
Length: 6 Month rolling contract - highly likely to turn permanent
Location: London, Canary Wharf
Start Date: ASAP

Overview
To provide regular regional and global business Regulatory Compliance risk and issue reporting and ad-hoc reporting as requested by he Senior Manager, Executive Reporting.

Responsibilities
Develop, in consultation with the Senior Manager, Executive reporting, and produce a regular series of strategic and directional compliance-related papers and reports for all senior management meetings, as required.
Monitor information flows from around the Global Regulatory Compliance function, ensuring that all incoming reports are drafted to the set standards and submitted in a timely manner.
Be aware of, and alert senior management accordingly to, any external regulatory/political/societal developments which may impact on , or relate to, Regulatory Compliance matters.
Draft and report papers for other Group Audiences.

Major challenges
The job-holder will need a considerable degree of journalism-type skills to be able to convert a variety of reporting material, frequently written by people who do not have English as a first language, into clear, concise, accurate and deadline driven reports for the consumption of very senior management.
The job-holder will need to be aware of external developments as well as internal developments, for instance factors that may in pact on the bank and its business.
The job holder will need awareness of the banks risk appetite so as to be able to identify where activity is deviating, or is likely to deviate, and inform senior management.

Essential Requirements
A proven communicator with an ability to deal with all levels of seniority.
excellent written and verbal communication skills
a broad knowledge of financial services
knowledge of the role of compliance
attention to detail
Between 1-5 years experience in similar regulatory compliance role
ability to prioritse/organise effectively
