Description
Synergy Consulting Group has an immediate need for a Sr. Network Engineer for a 6-month contract engagement, located with a great company in Cincinnati. This position does require some travel.
The hourly rate for this contract, based on experience, is up to $65/hr.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing work on major, complex network projects with full competency. You will coordinate with both technical and non-technical staff and vendors on the design and implementation of complex projects.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex network problems on both WAN and LAN environments, and recommend and implement corrective solutions
- Evaluates and recommends network solutions
- Provides Tier 3 support and guidance to IT staff at multiple client properties
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information systems, computer science, engineering, or related experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT
- CCNA preferred, CCNP a plus
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience troubleshooting BGP4, OSPF, and EIGRP routing problems
- Demonstrate ability in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco L2 and L3 Switches (3750x, 450x, 650x) and Routers (38x5, 720xVXR)
- Expert understanding of IPv4 VLSM
- Demonstrable troubleshooting methodology
- Advanced understanding of Firewall concepts and TCP/IP
