Costing Analyst (contract), Edinburgh

As a result of an increased workload my client requires an additional short-term resource to support the business from a financial and commercial perspective.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the Activity Based Costing (ABC) process for the business in line with standards and deadlines agreed with central ABC team
  • Analyse results and review ABC results with key stakeholders
  • Develop a business-wide view of expenses, their drivers and outcomes to help drive forward the Operational Efficiency programme
  • Provide monthly expense support to managers
  • Ensure finance governance is adhered to at all times

Key Skills & experience:

  • Qualified account (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
  • Previous costing experience is preferred and not necessarily within Financial Services
  • Strong communication and influencing skills must be demonstrated at all levels across the group
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Flexible team player
