Description
A global leading pharmaceutical organisation requires a Cost Engineer to provide cost control expertise to the Swedish operational group who are involved in the installation of new equipment lines for turbo haler products.Responsibilities
• Ensure that all project cost estimation, cost control, and related activities comply with corporate capital governance requirements and internal procedures / guidelines.
• Coordination & review of detailed cost estimated, including benchmarking analysis.
• Ensure completeness of estimate documentation and adherence to guidelines.
• Assistance with Contract Document preparation and evaluation. Adhere with Project Control/Procurement responsibility matrix.
• Develop and implement an integrated cost management approach for the project, leveraging A/E and CM reporting taking into account contracting strategy and team structure. Prepare accurate costs forecasts per project requirements, at least monthly.
• Review and assess cost reports for A/E. Ensure quality deliverables from contractors, sufficient staffing both in quantity and skills and that deliverables meet the expectations. Implement corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure that project cost management and reporting systems include trend and variance analysis, proactive cost forecasting and identification / recommendation of corrective action.
• Project and contract change order management and evaluation.
• Review and evaluation of commercial proposals.
• Ensure appropriate incorporation of Contingency in the cost estimate / original budget and management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assistance with monthly progress reports and other reporting as may be required.
• Ensure appropriate cost risk management is implemented throughout the project lifecycle.
• Project cash flow development and forecasting as required.
• Active coordination with the project planner to ensure full cost / schedule integration and alignment in all areas.
Education / Experience
• Quantity Surveying, engineering, construction management or equivalent degree
• Minimum 5 years related experience in quantity surveying, cost estimating and/or cost control management
• Proven project completion experience
• Experience in various software systems including Microsoft Office
• Swedish language skills
Nice to have:
• Bio-pharmaceutical experience and knowledge

• Hands-on experience with cost and schedule risk analysis
• Understanding of project control, planning and earned value
