Functional Copywriter - Financial Copywriter, User experience/interface
One of my Tier 1 Banking clients is seeking a Functional Copywriter to work directly with user experience designers and the proposition team to deliver straight forward functional copy.
Experience with User Interface and User Experience (UI and UX) is crucial for this role.
Deliver user-centric functional copy:
- Protect, create and champion functional copy that is correct, clear and consistent.
- Consistently convey the agreed personality and tone of voice within all functional copy.
- Challenge industry jargon to make it accessible to new investors without patronising those with experience.
- Become familiar with user personas and user journeys in order to tailor the very best bridging language.
- Liaise with other business areas on existing copy and shared screens to ensure users have a smooth, consistent experience of Barclays.
- Respond flexibly to user research findings when functional copy is not understood as quickly or easily as it should be.
- Support up to eight concurrent sprint activities ensuring all copy components in wireframes and PSDs have been content managed before going into build.
Content Management and Governance:
- Ensure all content maintains the Wealth Direct style and language principles, promoting a cohesive and consistent tone and style.
- Ensure content is appropriate to audience, well structured and grammatically correct.
- Ensure all content is fully signed off and governance processes are followed at all times.
- Deliver all new and re-worked content on time in accordance with the Wealth Direct sprint plan.
