DBA Data Base Administrator DB MS SQL Oracle Performance Tuning
Project/Department Description and responsibilities:
- Information Technology Shared Services;
- DB software installation, upgrade, patching;
- Problem prevention, detection and correction (including performance tuning);
- DB recovery if needed;
- Assisting J&J Developers in deploying data base-based applications;
- Develop & support mechanisms to analyze data, extract, manipulate, qualify, load, etc.;
- Communicating with the technology support, corporations, developers, end-users and management;
- Document activities as required by GxP (Installation Qualification, Change Management, ?);
- Reports of DB authorizations
- MS SQL mandatory
- Oracle preferred
Non-Technical profile requirements:
- Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or weekend/holiday work);
- Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills;
- Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision;
- Quick learner, motivated self-starter;
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills;
- Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines;
