Quality Assurance Officer, Barcelona
Quality Assurance Officer with good experience in software testing or QA, required for our client in Barcelona, for a long term project in a great location. English-language International environment. Initial contract duration 6 months, renewable.
Knowledge and experience required:
Minimum 6 years experience in application development. Minimum 4 years experience in testing and/or quality assurance.
MANDATORY SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proven significant software testing or QA experience;
- Excellent knowledge of Software Test Methodologies and Development life cycle
- Performance testing with the aid of performance test tools;
Advantageous skills:
Formal Certification in Testing through ISEB or ISTQB.
TASKS:
- Understand the purpose and requirements of new system developments;
- Defining and maintaining test metrics;
- Contribute to overall project plans and develop suitable test strategies;
- Design and Maintenance of Test Plans, test scripts and test processes;
- Test the new development to ensure the release is free from defects;
- QA Testing Cycles: Integration, System, Regression, Stress, Volume and UAT Testing;
- Bug Detection, Tracking and Resolution;
- Prioritisation of Software issues;
Languages:
High level of both spoken and written English. Minimum accepted level B2 of the CEF (Common European Framework) framework
