Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant - Product Controller - Financial Services - LondonMy client, one of the world's largest financial institutions, are recruiting for a Product Controller (newly Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant) to join the Mortgages Financial team, in London, initially on a six month contract.
Rate - £280-£300
Location - London
Length of Contract - 6 months - Option to go permanent

Overview
Primary function of the Mortgages team is to provide control & business advisory guidance.
Responsibilities
Complete regular control activities around P&L and Balance Sheet control across asset classes within Mortgage business. Help the business to develop efficient and profitable use of capital through accurate reporting of Risk Weighted Assets & profitability.
Execute within control framework (completeness, reconciliation, accuracy and repeatability).
Measure, report and escalate issues both within finance community and to the business for appropriate action.
As a member of the team, will be expected to:
What the client is looking for
Qualified or Part Qualified CFA or Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Product Control Experience; daily PnL, Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
Good Product knowledge, loans would be an advantage, and working knowledge of accounting concepts
Excel: Able to build and use spreadsheets
Strategic Thinking: Solid understanding of business strategy.
Takes ownership: Takes pride in their work, follows through on commitments.
