A leading retail bank is looking for an experienced MI Analyst to work within the pensions area.

Core Skills

  • Experience in Financial Services
  • Exceptional design and delivery skills (ability to gather requirements and turn into effective designs, and models)
  • Exceptional business analysis and reporting skills (review & improve existing processes, collect/mine/analyse and communicate complex data)
  • Experience working on MI systems/data warehouse
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills
  • Strong knowledge of strategic analytical tools and techniques, including specifically strong SQL Server skills
  • Strong MI report creation and development skills
  • Strong documentation, presentation and communication skills
  • Proven track record in development and delivery of quality management information reports from multiple data sources to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under minimal direct supervision

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of Sharepoint and data extraction/manipulation
  • Life and Pensions Operations MI knowledge
  • Knowledge of Pensions industry

Additional Information

The successful candidate will develop and support high quality management information to Operational teams to support effective business decisions.  This will require attention to detail and presenting data in reports that can be understood at all levels of the business. The successful candidate will operate in a very fast paced environment that is currently undergoing significant change, and will need to be flexible, adaptable and resourceful.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Delivery of MI solutions and insightful reports to stakeholders including requirement gathering, design, build and testing
  • Ensure consistency of outputs and pro-actively highlighting anomalies or inconsistencies in business reporting
  • Drive efficiency improvements in business applications and data analytics & reporting processes, particularly through automation
  • Regular senior stakeholder engagement to ensure expectations of the business are met
  • Identify MI needs and delivery to agreed plan of new MI
  • Provide technical support, advice and assistance to the business
