Scrum Master

My client is one of the largest international telecommunications and television companies. They are urgently looking for a number of Scrum Masters to contribute to a department wide roll out of agile methodologies. My client is not just looking for coach, you will need to have hands on, and project management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

* Organize and conduct sprint planning meetings, sprint retrospectives, product demos and daily scrums.
* Partner with Product Owners to achieve high-quality and timely deliverables based on highest business value.
* Manage sprint planning and execution, including providing clear visibility into sprint status.
* Participate in release planning and scheduling by providing scrum team statistics, identifying project dependencies, and creating velocity forecasts.
* Ensure high throughput of development teams by identifying and mitigating potential issues and roadblocks.
* Work with project stakeholders ensure product backlog is prioritized, groomed, and detailed to avoid any downtime, ambiguity or rework.
* Facilitate issue resolution within the team, including sheltering scrum team from outside influences or diversions.
* Assist with backlog maintenance and prioritization of incident resolution.
* Coach scrum team members in making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition.
*Create and maintain sprint and release burn downs, velocity metrics and projections, and forecasts in order to demonstrate visibility and enable timely adjustments.
* Occasional travel within Europe may be required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

* HBO/Degree or similar level experience in software development or deployment.
* 5+ years' experience in software design/development, IT architecture, project or programme management.
* Demonstrated understanding of agile principles and value-based deployment: minimum of 2 years hands on experience with agile, scrum or lean methodologies.
* Extensive experience with SDLC.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Resilient, self-motivated, and proactive and able to work with speed and accuracy.
* Previous online experience is a plus but not essential.
