Commissions Analyst/Assistant Accountant - Leeds

An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to gain experience within one of the UK's leading technology firms. Based within Leeds and close to major transport links our client is an innovative and creative firm that has recognisable brands in a large number of key locations across the UK.

This is a key role within the finance team and you can expect excellent exposure to senior management along with some of the largest names within the technology and retail sectors. Also you will have involvement in some major ongoing projects within the team to improve efficiency and communication.

Initially you will be offered the role as a three month contract which will be reviewed and extended in line with business needs and your ability to add value to the team. Your responsibilities include working with key stakeholders (Finance, Sales, Customer Services and Legal) to assist in the end to end management of the commissions due to the firm's business partners and ensure they receive payment in line with the business' approved commercial agreements. You will also manage all queries and implement improvements to the existing processes.

To apply for this position you will have:

  • A degree in a finance, accounting or other numerical based subject
  • And/or part qualification for an ACCA/CIMA
  • Experience in analysing and interpreting numerical data.
  • Strong Excel experience is essential (pivot tables/look-ups)
  • Strong communication skills and a proven ability to analyse and present financial information in a succinct and coherent manner
